Greg, I will help you pack out. I have buddies that might help as well. We don't have horses or llamas but can help for the price of meat. Let me know...
Thanks brother and Congrats!
No worries Greg. Make sure you are using you OnX maps app. If you come out to to scout or you need help hauling meat, shoot me a note. I feel more comfortable providing more info in person than online
Hi Greg, first off congrats. There is moose all over. Hell I have a cow and 2 calves. They seem to be in areas where its flatter with plenty of wetlands. There are a couple of places that you are almost guaranteed to see them not far from trail heads but I'd be doing a disservice if I just told you!
Hi Frank we had one at the base of Buffalo Mountain a few weeks ago that displaced a lot of elk. There was another one in South Fork by Ute Pass. The only issue is that we are in a severe drought so the fires burned very intensely. I wouldn't hunt this burn for another year or even 2. There was another burn by Peak 2 between Frisco and Breckenridge. I went and checked it out and there is no point in hun ting it this year. The burn was too intense so I wouldn't hunt it until next year once we get some needed moisture. There is another one from last year on Tenderfoot Mountain. I live at the foot of this mountain but unless you are hunting late season I wouldn't waste my time. It's been way too hot up here. Hope this helps
