@Trail K. it's been a few years since this last post, but any chance you got intel on this topic since you last posted? Taking a good look at 122 for the '22 season. Thank you
I have a question as it applies to 164, and generally as I'm researching WY on GoHunt. Obviously as a Non-Resident, and one that will not be going with an outfitter or a WY resident, my research is largely focused on public land. Through my Insider account, looking at Wyoming on "Filtering 2.0", I've filtered public land units with public land > 75%. As noted above, unit 164 is about 89% public, so It popped up.
Herein lies my question...if I start looking at GoHunt Maps, I can see that (on the Wyoming drop-down options) that I have options under "Access" (those include Walk-in Hunting Areas, Hunter Management Areas, and Wildlife Habitat Management Areas). Does the 89% public land that I'm seeing on "Filtering 2.0" equal all of the "Access" choices I see on GoHunt maps? Meaning, does the amount of land in Unit 164 comprised of Walk-in Hunting Areas, Hunter Management Areas, and Wildlife Habitat Management Areas equal 89% for 164?
Hopefully that makes sense, I'm just trying to cross-reference and make sure I'm using these tools correctly. At the moment, I'm not tracking with how to leverage these tools in unison.
