Interested in another chance to hunt mule deer? Then you’re in luck. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has announced a special archery-only hunt to help manage mule deer numbers in and around Roundup, Montana. There are 120 either-sex licenses available for the special Roundup management season that cost $10 each for residents and $75 for nonresidents, Q2 News reports.

As goHUNT previously reported, Montana FWP is planning a special CWD hunt this fall in different areas of the state as well.

The special season, which runs Nov. 9 through Feb. 15, will take place on property owned by the City of Roundup, Musselshell County, Irene Snortland and Green Oil Field Service, according to Q2 News. This hunt has occurred annually for the past five years. The same number of tags was offered last year and resulted in the harvest of eight does and 10 bucks; in 2017, 18 of the 120 available tags were filled.

Licenses go on sale today online or at licensed dealers. In order to purchase the license, you must have a current Montana conservation license, base hunting license and bow-and-arrow license. Licenses are limited to two per hunter and “do not count toward a hunter’s limit of seven deer ‘B’ licenses,” according to Q2 News.
