We're looking for a Gear Expert – Sales & Customer Success who is as comfortable recommending a backcountry boot as they are talking through a Western draw strategy.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about western big game hunting, thrives in a fast-paced customer-facing environment, and genuinely loves helping hunters put together the right kit for their next tag. You're someone who listens well, communicates clearly, and takes pride in leaving every customer better off than when they found you.
As a key member of the Customer Success team, you'll serve as the front line for GOHUNT's eCommerce store — handling inbound phone calls and emails with expertise, efficiency, and care. You'll also draw on your hunting knowledge to assist customers in navigating our Insider research platform and mobile app, helping them understand draw odds, unit data, and western hunting regulations at a high level.

Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone and email related to GOHUNT's eCommerce store, including order status, product questions, returns, and recommendations
Provide knowledgeable, honest gear recommendations tailored to each hunter's specific needs, species, and terrain
Support customers using the GOHUNT Insider platform by answering general questions about Western hunting, draw systems, and unit research
Identify sales opportunities and upsell or cross-sell relevant products in a way that genuinely serves the customer
Document customer interactions accurately and escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members
Stay current on GOHUNT's product catalog, promotions, and platform updates
Collaborate with the broader Customer Success and Research teams to continuously improve the customer experience
Represent the voice of the customer internally, surfacing feedback and trends that can drive product and process improvements
Solid, firsthand knowledge of Western big game hunting — you've done it, you understand it, and you can speak to it with authority
Strong familiarity with Western states' draw systems, tag application processes, and general hunting regulations
Experience in a customer-facing sales or support role, with a track record of delivering excellent service
Clear and confident communication skills — both written and verbal
Ability to manage a high volume of inbound contacts while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
Comfortable working across tools like email platforms, CRMs, and eCommerce systems
A genuine passion for helping people and a team-first attitude
Hands-on experience with western backcountry gear
Familiarity with the GOHUNT platform as an Insider member
Experience in an outbound sales role
Experience in an outdoor industry or hunting-focused retail environment
