haha thanks! we don't pay too much mind to the negativity but we do pay close attention to what our INSIDER's are expecting of us, and thats why it is an ever growing and changing product.

We will definitely have bear and predator odds up and going for our users as soon as we can. We have been talking a lot about it in the office... Also, AK is on this list too but I don't have a timeframe for that. I will communicate when we have some vision for the build out of it.

You guys are the worst!!!! Just kidding, don't let the haters get you down, i think your doing a great job personally. I like that you are willing to admit that your product is never complete and that you are constantly making efforts to improve it. As a customer that is something that i appreciate and look forward to. And i know the states dont make it easy on you. Im with others, id like to see some information on bear hunting, especially spring bear where its offered, and maybe break out into Alaska too, at least give unit profiles to help guys like me figure out where i may want to wonder one day.

Hey Daniel. I'm actually releasing the app strategy article for Utah this next week. I will have three articles being released. I wanted to wait until I got some additional herd dieoff information from the state. I personally don't like to apply until the end of the app period to ensure something drastic doesn't happen. I'm also changing up the format some for the previous articles. The great thing is all our data for Utah is already updated for 2017, so you can start to research for 2017 using Filtering 2.0, Draw Odds, State and Species profiles. Can't wait to release these. They should be great articles. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to shoot me an email. I'd be glad to help you out.

Where is the application strategy article for UT, since there is only 2 weeks remaining until deadline? WY and AZ articles are still front page headlines, yet both deadlines have come and gone.

Check your stats on Wyoming 114. It was a party of 3 not 3 separate applicants.

I'll be the first to admit I completely under estimated the amount of requests we were going to get for bear and predator hunting. We are currently trying to figure out the best and quickest way we can get that added for our members. We will keep you posted on ETA when we have a more concrete timeline.

@ Yancee H. -

Thanks for the support, its much appreciated!

We actually had a meeting today with our development house about adding public land into Filtering 2.0 as soon as we can. From what we discussed today we are shooting to have it within the next 60 days but, it might take a backseat to a few other big enhancements if push comes to shove... Either way its on our radar and we won't forget about adding it.

You guys are doing a great job and have earned an incredible reputation in a very short amount of time. I wouldn't worry too much about naysayers and their petty arguments regarding lack luster competitors. Dogs don't bark at parked cars and GoHunt is definitely going places.

Is there any chance that public land availability could be added to Filtering 2.0?

I'll take my "Crow" medium well.
In the 114 example, the 3 apps were in a party but, unlike other states that use only the party leaders app, and would then show 1st choice apps as separate individuals and just party leaders, WY issues the same random numbers for all party members and those apps are in the draw separately. When one gets drawn, all the party members will have the same random number and therefor will also be drawn.

Thanks for the comment. We greatly value your knowledge and opinion on all of the western states, especially Wyoming. We'd love to connect and compare notes. Things have been explained a little differently to us. My email is look forward to speaking with you!

Your Wyoming Elk 114 analysis is incorrect. The app that was drawn was a party app of three. The other two apps were unsuccessful.

We hunters appreciate the more accurate draw odds on this site! As a sheep nut I'm always looking to better my chances of drawing a bighorn tag. I was a member of Huntin Fool for many years, and I recognized their draw odds were way off in some cases for sheep. A couple years back I looked into applying for unit 27-1 for bighorn in Idaho due to the odds of drawing being 1 in 4 as reported by the Huntin Fool. Looking into it I realized my odds as a nonresident were way lower than that. My best estimation was my odds were 1/10th of what Huntin Fool was reporting due to the nonresident tag quota being up to 10% of the total tags available. This quick mental math was better, but still not right. The Huntin Fool takes all applicants into consideration when calculating their odds for Idaho sheep, which makes their odds misleading for both residents and nonresidents. I see on goHunt my odds were 3.9% of drawing unit 27-1 in 2015, and my friends in Idaho had a 29% chance of drawing one of the 12 tags issued as residents in 2015. Yes! Finally odds for Idaho sheep that make sense! Thank you for geeking out on draw odds goHunt staff.
