Great job! Fun video to watch. This bull means more than if you had shot a monster on some ranch with a have a great story to tell and you definitely earned it! Well done!

Awesome hunt, thanks for sharing! I'm approaching year 2 of western hunting after hunting whitetails and turkey my whole life in KY and TN. hoping to replicate something like that either this fall or in the next few.

Way to stick with it and make it happen. You should both be proud. You earned him.

Nice job! Congrats on the bull. This one was well earned and a great story of persistence paying off. Well done. I am headed out for my first western elk hunt next year and hope I have as much fun as it looks like you had this season.

Way to stick with it!! I hunted wyoming this year in archery also, seen bulls almost every day and had multiple chance, just a game of inches. Congrats on your bull!

Great hunt. A real and true elk hunt, not something one watches on TV. Showing how tough it is, I love this stuff. Congrats. !!

Thanks, Andrew and Sean! One hunt I'll remember forever with great friends by my side.

@Sean - The shot was 480 yards and the bull only went roughly 15-30 yards and piled up. I use a 300 Win Mag, and this hunt I was using 200 grain Hornady ELD-X.

We were 5 plus miles deep backpack hunting all week, then the last day we switched spots and caught this bull roughly a mile from our truck. Luckily the packout was all downhill and we de-boned the bull and split it up between the three of us.

Great job toughing it out! How far was the shot and how far were you guys from the truck?
