Wyoming Elk Unit 38 - posted 1 year ago

Doesn't bother me one way or the other. Unit 38 has it all: four wheeler trails: horseback trails: walk only trails. Lots of roads for personal vehicle. Just do it like everyone else, and most of all have fun.

My case has been resolved, because Ben has been hunting this unit for many years. Oran go hunt 38 it is awesome. Shoot hunt with Ben, I am sure he has many hidy holes with big bull elk in them.

Vermont suggests fewer moose could result in fewer ticks - posted 1 year ago

I think about this issue many times a day. The tick is doing damage. I 'm looking for a kill all tick method. I search the internet and I cannot find a remedy.
What I 'm considering is to put mice traps out. I 'm not talking about a small price tag on the traps. I'm thinking in the price range of $250 or more on my trap selection. This is a coverage of say 5 acres.
I'm wanting results in a 2 year period. If the results are satisfactory. I would spend another $250 on the mouse trap set.
Deer, rabbit, any small mammal other than the mouse should do well.

The cowboy state has been my home since 2004. I have hunted many different locations. Jackson Hole was a favorite of mine for many years, but I was increasing my odds of being mauled by a grizz or two every year so I decided to take a step back and look else where for hunting adventures. Unit 38 is one special place that every hunter should experience, say a bucket list hunt in Wyoming. 38 is no secret and hasn't been say since 2009 things got very congested. The hunt is still the one of the best. The scenery is breath taking and the bulls bugle no matter what. I would go so far to say that the cow elk herd is awesome one of the best in the world. We as local tag 38 holders do not shoot cows. I have spread this word on another forum many years ago so I don't really care what ones judgement maybe as to me speaking what I know. Go and see for yourself you will not regret the time spent.
