Bring your Shotgun as there may be options to hunt some upland game as well as waterfowl in the area
There is very little state land and walk-in access in this unit and without prior arrangements to access a piece of private land there is very little opportunity to hunt in this entire unit
Located in the northwest corner of the east river region this unit is primarily private ground. That being said, there are a few walk-in areas as well as state owned ground. Most of these opportunities seem to be geared more for upland game and waterfowl than deer hunting so plan accordingly and have a plan in place to hunt private ground.
Because of the walk-in and public land in this particular unit being geared more towards waterfowl, there isn’t much chatter regarding big game hunting.
