Hot Springs, located southeast of the unit, will be the best bet for gear and amenities
CU1 is the only unit that is completely public land and made up of the Custer State Park. Good numbers of bison are found within the park and anyone lucky enough to hold a tag will be in for a great hunt.
Typically one of the easier bison hunts available, due to the fact that a guide from Custer State Park will be with you, to help identify which bison may be taken. Local taxidermists are available to prepare a cape for shipping or for complete service in mounting the animal.
