Butler County sits in the southeastern lowlands and offers a mix of bottomland hardwoods, sloughs, and scattered ag fields. The flat terrain can make glassing tough, but the dense cover near rivers and swamps gives deer plenty of places to bed and move undisturbed. It’s a good area for patterning movement between water, cover, and food, especially in the early season.
