This unit is found in central Alaska and lies just west of Fairbanks. Most of the southern third of the unit is located within Denali National Park and is mostly unhuntable. Lands within the Denali National Preserve are open to hunting. Good hunting can be found here but hunting pressure can be high in certain regions and hunters may need to work to escape competition. Most of the hunting locations will need to be flown into but hunters do have the option of floating a few of the available rivers. Highway access is good along the eastern edge of the unit but hunting pressure will be higher in these areas.
Good hunting can be found here but hunting pressure can be high in some regions. With some research, hunters can find less pressured areas.
