Five Bear Outfitters is a classic family run outfit offering you a variety of backcountry experiences in both Idaho & Montana.
We stress the importance of quality in all our trips. From our high quality camp cooking to our friendly staff, we do our best to make sure your backcountry adventure is both memorable and comfortable.
Our trips start in the spring with Bear hunts; then we move into our summer season. During the summer months we offer remote backcountry access to the Blue Ribbon Trout River, Kelly Creek. Our summer camp sits right on the creek and gives you the opportunity to spend all day fishing or the opportunity to just kick back and enjoy some wildlife and fantastic scenery. Whether you are a fisherman or not, the summer is a great time to get out and enjoy long horseback rides, high alpine lakes, pristine Kelly Creek, and great wildlife viewing opportunities. Once fall comes, we turn our focus to the elk hunters. Our backcountry camps give you access to the most remote area in Idaho's Unit 10. This hunt is a true backcountry experience and gives you a great chance at the bull of a lifetime. We are licensed in both the Idaho Clearwater National Forest and the Montana Lolo National Forest, both areas are in the proposed Great Burn Wilderness. No matter what kind of trip you are on, our staff will help you feel comfortable around our well seasoned stock and give you the chance to see this beautiful country on horseback. We will gladly work hard to put together a memorable trip for you, your family or group.
