This area is also known as the Beaver Creek hunt area, and has a lot of BLM land with private property to the west around Lander. For nonresidents, this area is part of Region L and tags drawn for this area are valid in: 92, 94, 128, 156, 157, 160, 171
With prairie grass fields that stretch throughout the unit and big canyons that can hide deer herds, this is a great spot to find a lot of big mule deer bucks. The river bottoms and ranch land in the west around Lander has a lot of whitetail herds that are getting bigger and producing a lot of trophy bucks.
