Many desert bighorn sheep live in this unit. This unit includes many broad valleys, gentle sagebrush foothills and steep, rocky mountains in the Gillis Range and the Gabbs Valley Range Wilderness Study Area. A few mule deer and antelope also live here.
Deer numbers are low, and the antelope herd is marginal. Hunters have placed some antelope in B&C records
