This district is located in southwest Montana and was historically known to produce some giant rams. This district is commonly known as the Anaconda area and it surrounds the town of Anaconda in the Flint Creek Range. The sheep are generally located on National Forest, but occasionally there are parcels of private land that can block some access. It is a mountainous area with numerous peaks, several lakes and lots of timber.
Historically this district was known for having great rams, but the sheep has struggled in recent years. The downward trend seems to have leveled off for now.
