Prescott is at the southern tip of this unit, which runs about 50 miles north to US Interstate 40, between Ash Fork and Seligman. Mule deer, elk and antelope inhabit this unit.

A large portion of the unit is privately held. Recently, several landowners have closed access to their land because they felt that some of the visitors have not shown the proper respect. Arrange for permission to access private ground before applying for tags. Elk and mule deer taken here are usually of average quality, while some trophy size antelope are available. Elk season offers hunting opportunities, but few hunters take bulls because most elk migrate from neighboring units.
