This large unit is found in central Alaska and features a wide range of hunting opportunities. A few communities and towns are found within the unit but this area is primarily remote and access will need to be well planned. Most of the unit is comprised of smaller but sometimes rugged mountains that are primarily timbered. Large and, at times, widespread river channels wind their way throughout the region and create a mosaic of terrain features to pursue animals.

This unit offers good hunting opportunities but hunters will need to carefully plan their transportation needs around the species to be pursued.
