On Saturday, the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners will meet to discuss big game quotas for the 2018-2019 seasons. Regulations will be set regarding the number of tags issued for mule deer, antelope, elk, bighorn sheep, black bear and mountain goat.

The public is welcome to attend the hearing on May 5, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. to discuss any issues they may have with the proposed number of big game tags. The meeting will be held at the Washoe County Commission Chambers at 101 E. 9th Street, Building A in Reno, Nevada.

The proposed regulation changes include both resident and nonresident tag numbers, landowner compensation tags, and all weapon type and seasons. Click here for the full list of changes for the 2018-2019 seasons. There are quite a few so it’s important to check them out.

Because written comments must be turned in five days prior to the meeting date, if you have something to say regarding these proposed regulations, you’ll have to comment in-person on May 5.
