Montana FWP seeks tips after bull elk poached

A bull elk was poached in Fergus County, Montana on Nov. 8 and, now, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (Montana FWP) is hoping someone has some information. The elk, which was shot on private property near Surenuff and Flatwillow roads in the Little Snowy Mountains, had its head cut off.

The rest of the animal was left to rot.

Montana FWP is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for any tip that leads to an arrest. The landowners will match that reward for a total of $2,000, according to
