If you’re hunting mule deer in Idaho, make sure that unit still allows for opportunity. For the 2021 season, changes to youth hunts impacted many hunting units in the southern portion of the state, according to the Independent Enterprise.
In fact, during opening weekend, Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) officers encountered many youth hunters who harvested antlerless deer at check stations. The problem is that those units no longer offered antlerless deer opportunity. Remember, it is your responsibility to know the updated rules and regulations for any season you choose to hunt.
