For 2026, a small number of tags are available for Nevada's Second Draw.
Second Draw Information
The 2026 second draw application period for Nevada is from June 8 at 8 a.m. PT through June 15 at 11 p.m. PT and you can apply online here. Both residents and nonresidents can apply in the second draw. See the 2026 Nevada second draw tag list here or in the tables below.
Results will be turned around quickly, and you should know your results by the end of June.
Note: If you apply for a tag in the second draw and are successful, you will lose your bonus points.
So, if you are building points, I highly suggest you avoid picking up a leftover tag during the second draw, unless you just want to hunt and don't mind losing your points. For the most part, the remaining tags are not worth burning 3, 5, or even 10 bonus points for. But if you're just starting to apply in Nevada, or you're looking for a hunt to fill a void in your schedule, applying for a leftover tag is a smart move.
Bonus point purchase during Nevada's second draw
Bonus point applications for ALL big game species will be able to be purchased in Nevada's Second Draw. If you did not apply in the main draw for a certain species, you can still purchase bonus points in the second draw. Keep in mind that if you did apply in the main draw, but elected not to purchase a hunting license when you applied, you can now elect to purchase a hunting license in the second draw and pick up your bonus points. Applicants are limited to earning one bonus point per species, per license year.
Areas to highlight about the Nevada second draw
The Nevada Second Draw works the same way as the main draw, in that you can list five hunt choices (in this case, you could list all deer unit options).
You will need to purchase a hunting license.
If you applied in the main draw and didn't draw, you can still apply in the second draw. Also, if you didn't apply in the main draw, you could still apply for this draw.
Bonus points can be purchased for any species in the second draw if you did not apply for a tag or a point for that species in the main draw.
Remember, the second draw will burn your bonus points if you pick up a tag.
Points are squared in the second draw, just like the main draw.
Any person can pick up a tag in the Nevada second draw, regardless of residency. The only exception to this is that junior/youth tags are ONLY available to residents, even in the second draw.
Tags show on this list for a number of reasons:
1. If the nonresident quota is filled and these tags didn't get put in for by residents, they will now show up in the second draw.
2. These tags were awarded in the main draw and electronically returned by the awarded party. Pursuant to NAC 502.421 there were no eligible applicants who indicated a desire to be placed on the alternate list whose first choice area and season matched the electronically returned tag.
3. The original count of tags for this weapon class and unit group were augmented as additional tags have been returned.
4. This second draw tag list includes tags that were returned in the 1-week grace period that did not have an alternate to issue.
5. If a resident and nonresident applied together in the main draw as a party hunt, and there wasn't a hunt available for a nonresident.
Party applications on the second draw
You actually can apply as a party in Nevada's second draw. But it could hurt your chance to pull a tag, especially if there aren't enough permits for the hunt you're looking at.

Researching these units
You can always jump over to Filtering and our Unit Profiles to research these units before you toss your application out there. This is a great starting point to make sure one of the available hunts would be worth burning the points you have. Remember that you can research these hunts on a computer or on our GOHUNT mobile app.
Tags available in the 2026 Nevada second draw
Tag list is current as of June 8, 2026: This list has been updated to reflect remaining tags that were either not awarded in the draw OR tags remaining after the electronic tag return period and processing of tag payments unable to be collected that did not have an alternate hunter.
Any person can pick up a tag in the second draw, regardless of residency. So a nonresident can pick up a permit that is listed in NDOW's PDF as "resident." The only exception to this is that junior/youth tags are ONLY available to residents, even in the second draw.

Not a Member of GOHUNT?
A GOHUNT membership makes it easy to find hunting opportunities by state, species, probability of draw odds success, and much more!
Whether you have 0 points, max points, or any number of points, GOHUNT gives you the information you need to plan a successful hunt. In addition to our research tools, all Insiders have access to our GOHUNT mobile app where you can plan a hunt on GOHUNT Maps, as well as research tools on the app to help you find hunting opportunities. GOHUNT Maps is also available on the web. GOHUNT Insider is the only complete and total package of tools to help you find the hunt you want this upcoming year or to help plan for hunts in the future.
If you're unfamiliar with GOHUNT, you can learn more about it below.
Insider+ membership service
For hunters who want more than just access to research tools, Insider+ is the upgrade that turns hunt planning into a true turnkey service. GOHUNT Insider+ members get access to one-on-one consultations with GOHUNT's team of hunting consultants.
Instead of tracking deadlines, sorting through state-by-state application rules, and trying to build a strategy on your own, you get a designated GOHUNT advisor who helps map out your goals, walks you through onboarding, and handles the application process in the states you choose. The value is simple: you stay in control of where you want to hunt, and GOHUNT helps ensure the details are handled correctly and on time, so you can move through application season with more confidence and far less stress.
Insider+ Consultations
What makes Insider+ especially compelling is that it does not stop at submitting applications.
Once a tag is drawn, members also get one-on-one e-scouting and mapping guidance, plus customized gear recommendations built around their specific hunts. In other words, Insider+ pairs GOHUNT’s premium tools—Draw Odds, Filtering, Unit Profiles, and GOHUNT Maps—with real human expertise, giving hunters a higher-touch experience from planning to execution. For someone considering the upgrade if they are already an Insider member, or even someone who doesn't currently have an Insider membership, the appeal is clear: fewer missed deadlines, less guesswork, and a more streamlined path from “I want to hunt this year” to having a real plan in place.
