The recent Camp Fire in Northern California devasted the town of Paradise, burning more than 17,000 structures and killing over 70 people. There are still hundreds of people missing and thousands displaced. Paradise happens to be home to a ton of serious and passionate outdoorsmen and women. The town is surrounded by the vast public lands of Plumas and Lassen National Forests. Located in the foothills above California’s central valley, Paradise is only miles away from the Pacific Flyway, which is home to world-class waterfowl hunting, minutes from the Feather River, and a stone’s throw from the Sacramento River.
Hundreds of Sportsmen and women that lived in Paradise lost everything, including all their hunting and fishing gear. We hope you will join us in donating any of your old hunting gear back to these individuals. We plan to gather as much gear as possible, load up the Stone Glacier trailer, and drive it out to California to give it back to these hunters and anglers who lost everything.
While there is no way to replace the lives lost by this overwhelming disaster, we hope this small gesture can help the Sportsmen of Northern California get back on their feet and into the woods.
Stone Glacier has stepped up to the plate bigtime by putting together a Gear Drive to help out the sportsmen and women to replenish the hunting and fishing gear they lost in this terrible disaster. Stone Glacier and other amazing companies are setting up drop off locations across the West to help get gear to donate. The gear drive distribution will happen on Sunday, December 16 in Chico, CA. The exact location and time are to be determined.
We at GOHUNT are happy to help out with this cause! If you live in or near the Las Vegas area, you can stop by our office to donate old hunting and fishing gear that we will ship to Chico. Please join us in helping Stone Glacier's NorCal Sportsmen’s Gear Drive.
