An Ohio couple got more than they bargained for while shed hunting in Dehli Township. Instead of deer antlers, they happened upon human remains, according to WSAZ Channel 3 News.
The couple took photos and reported their discovery to local police. Delhi Township Police Chief Jeff Braun said the photos showed “what looked to be clothing, multiple bones and a shoe that still had a foot and sock inside.”
Upon further investigation of the wooded area, remains were found in two different locations during the weekend search. They were turned over to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. Whether the remains belong to the same person or two people is still to be determined.
The police do not believe there is a threat to the public at this time and Braun said “there are no signs of foul play.” Further, he is “unaware of any missing people in the area.”
The coroner will conduct an examination for further details.
