Raised in Darby Montana, the outdoors have always been a passion of mine. I mean how can it not be; within 5 minutes of where I grew up I could fish the Bitterroot River, hike into a mountain lake, or be hunting public land elk. It is just an amazing state. I have always loved hunting and everything about it, before I could even hunt I was packing my dads rifle, and as soon as I could, I was enrolled in hunters safety and shot my first deer, elk, and antelope.
In more recent years I have succumbed to chasing backcountry elk and deer. I spent a better part of the past 5 years competing as a Division I track athlete for the Montana State Bobcats, once my eligibility was up I found myself putting all that training into deeper and deeper backcountry hunts. I recently graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Exercise Science and am currently applying to Dental School. In the mean time I am fine-tuning my shooting skills, photographing, and running my own hunting website called Behind The Tines. You can also find the company on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
